Award - Framed award certificate given to Mrs. Elmer House (Hannah Bengtson House), honoring her as Mother of the Year for 1954, Kalama, Washington, for Mother's Day, awarded by a committee at the Longview Daily News. At the bottom is the newspaper's seal, and the signature of John McClelland.

Badge - Ornate blue satin ribbon badge with the words: "Lincoln Republican Club Kalama" Celluloid disk with "Washington" on top, smaller disc dangling from it with picture of Abraham Lincoln on one side and picture of McKinley and Hobart on reverse side. Gold tassles hanging from the bottom. 1896 Presidential campaign.

  6. Badge - Souvenir pin; "Representative Rebekah Assembly - Seattle - June 1912"; On the back: "Odd Fellows Temple / 10th Ave. & E. Pine St. / Seattle / Wash.", with a picture of the temple. Washington State Convention for the International Order of Odd Fellows (I.O.O.F.) Rebekahs. Three part brass badge, connected by short lengths of chain. Wording on the top section, Odd Fellows symbols on the lower section (shield), and a small painted or inlayed Northwest Native art piece in the center. This pin / badge belonged to Hulda Klager, who was a member of Sylvan Rebekah Lodge No. 113 (Woodland, WA)

  9. Bankbook - Joe Sweeney's leather bound deposit book with Kelso State Bank. Mostly empty, but first several pages are filled with deposits in 1918, 1919, and 1920. Joe Sweeney had a confectionery store on Oak Street in Kelso.

  13. Basket, Indian - Round Indian Basket made by Mary Pete, Cowlitz County; Original owners: Mr. & Mrs. Wallace Huntington; Coiled basket with imbrication in black, dark brown and light brown in a complex diagonal pattern. Rim is slightly scalloped with small open spaces.

  14. Basket, Indian - Cowlitz Indian Western Red Cedar inner bark basket made by "Indian Mary" and given to Mrs. George A. Poland. Basket is plaited loosely in a checkerboard weave with diagonal finishing on the rim. A small loop of yellow string is looped into the top edge. Running horizontally along the outside are 5 parallel stips of a lighter brown material (beargrass, available only in alpine areas). Some bullrush inside. Fraying in several places. Weave is broken in three spots on the basket - two on the side and one on the bottom edge. Because of its loose weave, one end sags when freestanding. Probably a learning basket.

  15. Basket, Indian - small rectangular Cowlitz Indian trade basket made by Mary Pete and given to Frances Huntington Siverson when she was a child at Monticello. Frances gave it to her daughter-in-law Betty Noerenberg in 1972. Beargrass imbrication on coil (spruce root) covers on all four sides. Four different designs on four sides in four shades of brown. One side has downward pointing arrows, one has zig-zags, one has sideways chevrons, and one side has three anthropomorphic figures. Donor's number 8.1. Similar to basket on display 53.46.1 outer edges have been shelaced or shined

  16. Basket, Indian - large oval Cowlitz Indian utility basket, belonged to Margaret Huntington, given to Betty Noerenberg in 1972. Coil basket of spruce root (outside) with bullrush (inside), tightly woven (watertight at one time). Top edge is covered with heavy leather fastened on by copper rivets. At one point the bottom was broken out of the basket and it was put back on with copper wire. Donor's number 8.2. Originally a cooking basket. Leather reinforced rim added later, with strap holes for hanging on the back of a horse (as evidenced by flattened side).

  17. Bible - Small Bible, with Hannah Bengtson House and Elmer House's family births and deaths written in the back, up through 1933. The front cover and the first chapter and a half are missing.

  19. Blanket - Weyerhaeuser Timber Company bunk house blanket from Headquarters Camp. Wool. Blanket is narrow, but extra long, 50" x 140", grey with black striping, and "Weyerhaeuser" embroidered in red cursive letters in the center. Manufacturer's tag is still in the corner, reading, "Warrented to be a / Pendleton / copyright 1921 by / Pendleton Woolen Mills / Pendleton, Oregon".

  20. Bond - Bond for State of Washington Diking Improvement District No. 5 of Cowlitz County; Group A #103 for $500; printed in blue; dated Feb. 4, 1922 and due Jan. 1, 1939. Stamped "Cancelled" at the top.
